Bad Faith Negotiations

The current crisis is the direct result of a seven-month period of bad faith bargaining by Change Grow Live management. Executive directors repeatedly delayed meetings and stretched the process out while staff actively struggled with rising living costs.

Management refused to share detailed organizational budgets or expenses. They asked staff to blindly trust their claims of affordability while hiding the financial books. When the union presented the devastating cost of living survey results, the Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees completely failed to respond. During the final conciliation meetings, senior managers resorted to personal attacks. They declared they would not play Santa Claus and reward bad behavior by offering an improved deal to their struggling workforce.
